The AeroPress is a completely new kind of coffee press that brews absolutely delicious, rich coffee without bitterness. In one minute, the AeroPress will make 1 to 4 cups of American or espresso style coffee. Coffee brewed in an AeroPress is rich but smooth for good technical reasons. The first and most important reason is brewing speed. Coffee yields its rich flavors quickly. From when you add hot water to when you are ready to drink, the AeroPress takes about 30 seconds, just like a fine espresso machine. The time required to fill a drip coffee maker pot or the steeping time required for a traditional coffee press is measured in minutes, not seconds, and because of that, they brew bitter, acidic coffee. When brewing coffee with an AeroPress, you use very hot but not boiling water, you use finely ground coffee, and the filter prevents any grit from getting into your cup, all of which are additional important reasons AeroPress brewed coffee is so remarkably delicious.
The Chemex Coffee Maker was designed in 1941 and is displayed in museums around the world, including a permanent display at MOMA in New York City.
Beyond the classic handblown glass Chemex Coffee Maker, we also carry a full range of beautiful Chemex glassware, filters and the Ottomatic Electric Coffee Brewer.
The syphon consists of a metal stand that holds a glass bulb, a glass chamber with a tube on the bottom that fits into the bulb and a cloth filter. There are several ways to use this lovely Japanese creation but whichever way you choose, the process works in the same way.
This produces an exceptionally clean and flavorful beverage and, when used properly, it's hard to beat.
Everything you need comes in the box, apart from the alcohol to fuel the included burner. Whilst the burner that is included works, it will make getting the best out of this brew method much more challenging and frustrating (this is the same with every syphon that you can buy). We recommend that if you aren't already the proud owner of a small butane burner, then you may wish to invest in one. We carry a great little burner that gives you lots of control and more than enough consistent heat for all of your syphon needs.
Rekrow Butane Syphon Micro Burner
This is the most widely used and hardest working butane burner for coffee syphons. Sometimes referred to as a "yama" burner, this syphon burner from the good people at Rekrow is a quick and easy way to heat water.
You can make a good beverage with the standard issue burner and some patience but, if you want to be able to make the most out of your lovely coffee chemistry set, you need a solid butane burner.
Chemex Filter Squares
Cone-shape ensures uniform extraction for pure coffee flavour. Thicker (20-30% more than the competition) specialty fibre filter design keep bitter elements, oils, and grounds in their place (and out of your cup). Prefolded for convenience.
Will fit most other cone-shaped filter coffeemakers. Fits all CHEMEX® Coffeemakers except CM-1, CM-1C, CM-1GH

If you are used to making a pot of coffee even when you want just a cup, then this great little brewer may well be your saviour. Arguably the most popular manual brew method over the past decade, this is one of cheapest and most effective ways to make great coffee at home.
This method, paired with the appropriate filters, is ideal for making single cups of coffee directly into the mug - you can make up to 16oz in one brew - and ensures that you only make the coffee that you need. It's simple to use, easy to clean and, as long as you have good coffee, may make you put your coffee machine away for good.
